Black Day—Commemorating Halloween at NNHS
Before celebrating the Undas nationwide, the organization have taken courage to bring out the horror, fun, and excitement to NNHS students last October 30, 2019.
This activity was implemented primarily to raise fund for upcoming activities. Film showing and disco booth were opened to all students for the whole day. Tickets were sold beforehand amounting to 5 pesos.
To give more spice and excitement to the students, some members dressed up with Halloween costume that would scare their co-students roaming around the campus.
Even though the activity lasted all day long, no suspension of classes was made and students were advised to participate only during their vacant period or whenever they are available. Students were given four (4) showing time as options according to their availability.
Two (2) horror films were shown entitled “Annabelle Comes Home” and “Child’s Play”. The rooms used for film showing and disco booth were G10-Yakal and G9-Cranberry respectively.
“Students like me felt the Halloween and this allows us to remember the memories that we had with our loved ones who passed away”, Clarence Matalog commented.
Horrible race, as planned, should be participated by YES-O members only that aims to strengthen camaraderie and comradeship among members. However, due to limited time and human resources, the activity was not realized.
